Kelowna Pros Secure First Place at PGA of BC Pro Assistant Championship

For Immediate Release

Kelowna, BC (July 11th, 2018) - Shadow Ridge Golf Club’s pros James Presnail and Mark Kitts are the winners of this year’s G&G Golf Company and Callaway Golf PGA of BC Pro-Assistant Championship.

The pair played the two-day tournament provincial at Black Mountain Golf Club, finishing Monday's best-ball round trailing Northview Golf Academy’s Matthew Palsenbarg and John Shin by two strokes. Tuesday, they came on strong and finished the scramble shooting a 57 to tie the leaders which led to a playoff.

On the first playoff hole, the team birdied the par-5 18th for the win.

“We had great team chemistry and played well together for both regulation rounds of the tournament.” said Presnail, General Manager at Shadow Ridge Golf Club. “Once the stress and pressure of the play-off hit, we did our best to stay calm, and focus on what we needed to do, and we succeeded in making our much-needed birdie to win the event.”

Kitts agreed and added: “The combination of James having a smoking hot putter and my ball striking being super consistent gave us the opportunity to win.”

This is their first win at a PGA of BC tournament and their skill and fortune resulted in a $2,500 reward for their efforts.
