Shadow Ridge Pro Captures First in Club Pro Championship

For Immediate Release

Kelowna, BC (September 25th, 2019) – Mark Kitts, the Head Golf Professional at Shadow Ridge Golf Course in Kelowna, beat out 47 other players to secure the winning place in the 2019 Srixon/Cleveland Golf/XXIO PGA of BC Club Professional Championship presented by Oakcreek Golf & Turf at the Kelowna Golf & Country Club.

Kitts played the two-round tournament without any bogeys and shot rounds of 68 and 69 to claim the $2,700 first place cheque from the Championship purse. He finished seven-under par to capture the Dick Munn Memorial trophy.

“The key to my tournament was not making any bogeys through these two days,” said Kitts. “I started off with a birdie on the first and thought this was going to be an easy day but then had to wait 15 holes to make my second.”

Kitts has been playing at the top of his game this summer, having collected a top-five finish at the 2019 PGA of B.C. Championship just last month at Whistler Golf Club, earning him a spot to represent the B.C. at the PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada in December at Arizona’s Wigwam Golf Resort.

The high notes continue as Kitts and his wife Andrea are expecting their second child in October.
